3 Steps to Making the Move
01 – Plan a Visit
Visiting Nashville before your move is ideal. You will be able to see a lot of the city in just three days. Central locations, like downtown and midtown, allow for easy access all around the city. If you’ve already narrowed down a few ideal neighborhoods, staying at an Airbnb is a great option to “live like a local”. Selecting a neighborhood before your big move can save a lot of time and money down the road.
02 – Explore Neighborhoods
Whether you want an urban downtown vibe or prefer some space in the suburbs, Nashville has a neighborhood to suit your needs. Here are some things to think about as you explore your new hometown and select a neighborhood:
- Do I want to live near my workplace? How much time do I want to commute?
- What community features are important to me (schools, parks, library, gyms)?
- What recreational activities are nearby (ballparks, bike trails, music venues)?
- Is parking/driving easy in this neighborhood? Is public transit readily available?
03 – Home Search
Now that you’ve picked a few ideal neighborhoods, let’s talk about the type of home you would like. Many neighborhoods feature single-family homes, but condos and townhomes are great options too! A few things to think about when selecting a home:
- Do I want a yard to maintain and care for?
- Do I prefer to live in a community with added amenities but also an HOA fee?
- Can I work on some projects to update a home, or does it need to be move-in ready?
Almost 100 people are relocating to Nashville every day. Get ahead of the curve (and the real estate market). Let’s connect, so I can help you make the right move!
